New Things

I decided to try this blog thing again. There are a lot of things that happen in my life that cause me to think, "I should write a book" So even if this never becomes a book at least it will be written down.
I have started doing yoga. I like yoga! I can actually tune out life and just breathe. It encourages me to reach for the next level. I want to achieve the flexibility that I see demonstrated in some of the poses. right now I am working on the bending. I try everyday to get a little closer to being bent completely in half :) once I achieve that I can start working towards inversions (yes that means upside down!) All of the poses I flow through help me get closer to that goal. All the while increasing my balance and strength while decreasing my anxiety level and blood pressure. For the first time in a long time I find I want to do this. I want to improve at it. It's fun (but Shhh...don't tell me it's exercise) Part of my yoga drive is health and peace, not just pretzels and handstands. health because I have weight to loose and peace because I added 7lbs 11ozs of stress to my life of March 24th of this year. Not bad stress, pretty cute stress if you ask me. :) (cute stress pictured above, you may call him Zak).
Don't ever let anyone tell you that babies are easy. Zak really is a good baby. He is my new reason for making every area of my life better. He keeps me grounded. I was trying to think of something I could do for him. something unique and something that he could have forever. I am thinking books. Children's books, with him as the main character and his pictures to illustrate the story. Now I just have to write stories.
Fun thought for the day: Dawn does not go in the dishwasher. but if it ever does your floor will be super clean :) I'll let you imagine how I learned that life lesson.
